Radici e Filari Colicò (Orange Wine of Arneis)
Coclicò means poppy in local Piemontese dialect.
Tasting Notes: Yellow straw color with gold ancient reflections. The nose is complex and harmonious, with citrus notes. On the palate, you will find distinct minerality and good sapidity. Notes of dried fruit and fennel seeds, poppy and acacia flowers. Long finish, elegant and balanced.
Food Pairing: Raviolini al plin, a local dish based on fresh egg pasta filled with vegetables, meat or cheese with butter and aromatic herbs from the garden (rosemary, sage and thyme)
Vineyard: Planted in 1989, the soil is a chalky marl of Tortonian origin at an altitude of 250m above sea level with a northwest exposure. Biodynamically farmed.
Harvest: Hand picked.
Vinification: Spontaneously fermented on the skins for twelve days in stainless steel tanks with no temp control. Aged 5 months in stainless steel casks and three months in the bottle.
